A friend pointed this out to me in December of 2003, and I snapped it up for probably a little more than its worth.

     As you can see from the cover, the guest stars are the Guardians of the Galaxy, but at this point in the book they haven't shown yet. Here we have the Thing, Captain America, and Sharon Carter, all on the run from the Badoon (an alien lizard race) in the New York City of 3014. You've got to admire the way Ben can handle a vehicle!

     This piece really appeals to me at full size- there's a lot of detail that doesn't come through in the scan. From the image of Ben picking up the car, to the nuts and bolts coming off that car, to the detail on the Badoon in the lower right of panel 3, even to the look of the "Wooooo" that the siren is giving off in the first panel. I'd thought myself a little spendthrift in picking this one up (end of term euphoria!), but now that I have it I think its going to be one of my favorites.
