Issue 8, page 6.

Well, I more or less won this one (EBay again in June, 2005) by accident- overexuberant about a page coming up the next day that I really wanted, I bid on this one as well. Imagine my surprise when I won this one, coupled with my disappointment when I was unable to get to my computer to bid on the one I really wanted on the following day. What can you do?

In any case, this page didn't get the TLC it needed over the years- it has the odd double fault of being quite yellowed while also having a hole chewed into the bottom edge (visible below the Christmas tree). Apparently it was both left in a drawer and left out in the light? I'm not quite sure how they managed that.

Faults aside, its a very nice Christmas page for me, family and friends of the FF. Wundarr was Ben's sort-of ward for while, so I'm happy to have him here in this page playing with building blocks with Franklin. Lots of very fine detail in this page too- the fireplace mantle at lower left looks particularly nice at full size.

And hey, yeah, we have since learned that Ben is Jewish. But I don't think that this stops him from celebrating the season with his adopted family, does it?
